Pick up by air con vehicle at your hotel in Phuket or at your hotel in Khao Lak and travel north of the island over the bridge to the mainland. Travel through Phang Nga province passing rubber plantations and small villages en route. Views of the empty beaches along the north coast of Phuket and at Khao Lak can be seen along the way. Arrive at Siam Safari elephant camp. Information will be given on the life of the elephants and about Siam Safari's conservation project. Trek on elephant back into the jungle to see a variety of exotic tropical jungle vegetation, experience the real jungle atmosphere faraway from the tourist crowds. Travel by open Land Rover on small back roads and see some of the local life along the way. A stop will be made at a waterfall and there will be time to explore the rainforest on a short jungle trek. Lunch is a selection of Thai dishes cooked not too spicy. Just off the coast of Phang Nga province not far from Khao Lak lies a maze of mangrove swamps, islands and deserted beaches, few people know or visit this area. Travelling by inflatable dinghy or speed boat with an out board motor it is possible to explore the swamps and see some of the life of the local people, panoramic views of distant jungle covered mountains and depending on the weather make stops at totally deserted beaches. Life jackets are provided. Late afternoon / early evening arrive back at your hotel in Phuket.

Bring along: non-slip shoes, bring a small bag or pack with a change of clothes in case you get wet and sun protection or a raincoat. It may be possible to swim but this depends on weather conditions on the day.
