Koh Si Chang

Departure by the speedboat from Pattaya
Bay proceed to Koh Si Chang in 1 hour when arrival at
the pier of Koh Si Chang change onto Motor-tricycle
drive up to visit "Chao Por Khao Yai" the
famous Buddha for the Thai and Chinese people who live
on the island and the Sriracha after that proceed to
visit the view of King Rama IV which used to see the
sunset and to be cautious a warship from French during
Indochina War, visit the Summer Palace of a Lady of
the court and the place was planning to build up as
"Vimanmaek Place". Lunch at the local restaurant
on the island after lunch bring you to the beach which
they do relaxing, swimming, suntan as much as they can.
Leaving the island at 1600 hrs. back to Pattaya by speedboat.
Koh Si Chang
An island near Sri Racha, noted for its beautiful nature
and tranquil atmosphere
Koh Si Chang is a large island about twelve kilometers
off the shore of Sri Racha. The island offers beautiful
nature amid tranquil atmosphere, and ideal getaway if
you are getting bored of the hustle and bustle of the
city. It locates a large cave called Saowapha Cave,
which is said to extend over a kilometer into the limestone
interior of the island; and Chaprakong Cave, which gives
access to the scenic view from the top of the hill.
Circling the island is a narrow road, only a little
over 1 meter in width, that wide enough for a motorized
tricycle that can be rented for a tour of the island.
The island is also the location of a summer palace of
King Rama V named Phra Chuthathut Rachathan Palace.
The palace, constructed in Thai-European architectural
style, is made up of several buildings including halls,
villas and a temple. The royal residence was abandoned
in 1893 when the French occupied the island during a
conflict with Thailand over who would control Laos.
Although it had been vacated for over a century, several
sections have been renewed.
Koh Sichang is situated in the Gulf of Thailand,12 km
offshore from Sri Racha. Boats leave for the island
every hour from the pier in Si Racha, taking about 40
minutes to make the trip.
